Edda Þórey Kristfinnsdóttir

Edda was born in 1956 in Reykjavík and grew up on Kirkjuteig in the Laugarnes district. She graduated from Akureyri School of Visual Arts in 2004, from the Reykjavik School of Visual Art  2001 and design from the Vocational school in Hafnarfirði, 2000 and has attended a number of courses in Iceland and abroad. She has held 14 solo shows and participated in a number of group exhibitions. 
Edda Þórey reflects on freedom in her paintings and sculptures and the continuous journey freedom allows us.
